MORE than 50 senior members of the local media participated in Allianz Malaysia’s annual Golf with Media event at TPC Kuala Lumpur.

And it left Allianz Malaysia Berhad chief executive officer Zakri Khir to say: “This is definitely one day that we look forward to every year.

“It is a great excuse to be out of the office, to let loose, to have fun and enjoy a great round of golf with our friends from the media.”

Senior editorial representatives from Media Prima Berhad, Star Media Group, New Straits Times, Malay Mail, Utusan Malaysia, Kosmo, Sinar Harian, The Sun, Sin Chew Daily, Malaysian Reserve, Bernama, Smart Investor and Astro Arena were in attendance.

At the end of it all, Pizan Mustafa of New Straits Times, with 44 Stableford points – equivalent to a massive eight-under-par, topped the charts.

Kamarulzaman Pid of Harian Metro (41) and Amin Azman of Media Prima (40) finished second and third.

Also among the prizes were Alias Abd Rani of New Straits Times, who’s tee shot was “nearest to the pin”, Datuk Wong Sai Wan of the Malay Mail who was “nearest to the line” and Amin Azman of Media Prima who had the “longest drive”.

Allianz Malaysia’s Golf with Media event has been held annually since 2013.
