PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Nicholas Fung made his first competitive start as an Asian Tour champion with a modest two-under 70 at the PGM Darulaman Championship in Jitra, Kedah.
The bespectacled 27-year-old, who won the Queen’s Cup in Koh Samui, Thailand, last month, made three birdies against a lone blemish on the 18th hole to be tied for ninth – three shots behind first-round leader Josh Salah of the United States.
