PETALING JAYA: It was a bright start for Albright Chong (pic) at the Malaysian Amateur Open in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Playing in his homestate, the 20-year-old traded four birdies with as many bogeys for an even par 71 in the first round of the 115-year-old tournament at the Nexus Golf Resort Karambunai yesterday.
