PETALING JAYA: Rio Olympic golf hopefuls Danny Chia and Gavin Kyle Green stayed on course to make the weekend cut after carding a two-under 70 and one-under 71 respectively on the first day of the Yeangder Tour­nament Players Championship in Taipei.

Danny and Gavin are tied for 27th and 42nd in the final Asian Tour qualifying event.
