KUALA LUMPUR: The four-day Maybank Championship Malaysia will not only showcase the best golfers, but also make it a memorable outing for the fans.

The inaugural tournament, to be held at the Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) from Feb 18-21, is set to be a four-day showpiece event in the region’s golfing circuit with the presence of Major winners and Asia’s top golfers.

From a celebrity chef to a mural by a renowned artist and a championship village for the fans are among the highlights of the tournament.

Chef Anis Nabilah will host an exclusive cooking demonstration of the first signature “Championship Sandwich” for the fans to enjoy.

And, for the first time, a golf tournament in Malaysia will be featuring a graffiti piece by Mohd Zaki Nordin, or better known as Escapeva. His work spurs colourful imagination and his ability to combine different elements in the characters of his graffiti is top notch.

One of the key focal points of the tournament will be the Championship Village, which is open to everyone, with food stalls, a great view of the game and a host of fun activities.

Fans can also meet and greet the players at this area and stand a chance to take photos and get their favourite golfers to sign autographs for them.

Tickets are priced at RM88 for two (for all days – season pass) while for a single person is RM68. The daily tickets for Thursday and Friday are priced at RM38 while for the final two days the tickets will cost RM68. Children aged below 18 and senior citizens can enter for free.
