PETALING JAYA: Danny Chia is smiling all the way to the bank.

The 42-year-old has become the first Malaysian golfer to break the million-ringgit mark. Despite finishing a poor joint 68th with a two-under 286 total at the US$7mil (RM30mil) CIMB Classic on Sunday, Danny pocketed US$14,440 (RM60,660) to take his earnings on the Asian Tour to US$221,753 (RM952,800).
