KUALA LUMPUR: Danny Chia daydreamed his way to a one-under 71 in the opening round of the US$7mil (RM30mil) CIMB Classic.

The 42-year-old Malaysian ambled through the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club’s West Course with three birdies and two bogeys to be placed joint 50th with 12 others, including compatriot Ben Leong and world No. 7 Henrik Stenson of Sweden.
