KUALA LUMPUR: China’s Lin Xi Yu, who is now blazing a hot trail in the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia, can be grateful to her mother Lin Bujing for not putting a lid on her daughter’s interest in sports.

Her mother once played in China’s national football team, but retired at 26 due to injury.
