LONDON (Reuters) - Former British Open champion Tony Jacklin has backed the Royal & Ancient's (R&A) move to take live coverage of golf's oldest championship away from the BBC and hand it to Sky Sports.

The pay TV channel will have exclusive live rights for the Open from 2017-21 with the BBC screening a daily two-hour prime time highlights show and continuing its live radio coverage.
