PETALING JAYA: The PGM Sime Darby Harvard Championship gets under way at the Harvard Golf and Country Club in Kedah on Wednesday – marking the first of 12 Asian Development Tour (ADT) events on Malaysian soil this season.

With the Olympic Games looming in Rio de Janeiro next year, the burgeoning ADT, which offers as many as six Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points for each event, has become ever more important for the Malaysian golfers.
