Bill Haas survives final-hole scare, wins Humana Challenge

(Reuters) - Bill Haas survived a scare at the final hole to earn a one-stroke victory over five players at the $5.7 million (4 million pound) Humana Challenge in the California desert on Sunday.

Haas took the sole lead with a 10-foot birdie at the 16th hole at the PGA West Palmer course at La Quinta on his way to his second victory in the event formerly known as the Bob Hope Classic.
