PETALING JAYA: Veteran Mardan Mamat turned in a masterful display as he birdied three of his closing four holes to grab the midway lead at the US$100,000 (RM355,000) Sabah Masters in Kota Kinabalu.
The Singaporean’s five-under 66 at the Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club was enough to put him at seven-under 135 and a two-stroke lead over Malaysia’s rising star Arie Irawan Fauzi, who carded an identical 66.
