Daeng opens junior golf title defence with five-shot lead


PETALING JAYA: Sarfina Vinota and Daeng Abdul Rahman Daeng Abdul Aziz got off to an inspiring start for Malaysia in their respective categories at the AmBank SportExcel International Junior Golf Championships at the Kota Permai Golf and Country Club in Shah Alam.

Daeng gave himself a head start in his title defence by shooting a creditable opening one-under 71 to lead Thailand’s Parathakorn Suyasri by five shots in the boys’ 13-14 category.
