Westwood to defend Malaysia Open golf title in February

PETALING JAYA: Three-time European Tour Golfer of the Year Lee Westwood has confirmed his title defence at the US$3mil (RM10.5mil) Maybank Malaysian Open at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC) from Feb 5-8.

The 41-year-old Englishman, who is one of a few golfers to win on every continent in the world, will certainly fancy his chances for further success in Asia. On Sunday, he captured the Thailand Golf Championship for his 14th triumph in Asia and 41st overall.
