Ben and Sattaya share first round lead

Ben Leong reeled in six birdies against one bogey during the first round of the PGM UMW Impian Championship on Wednesday.

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Ben Leong and Thailand’s Sattaya Supupramai shot identical five-under 67s to lead the rain-disrupted opening round of the Asian Development Tour’s (ADT) PGM UMW Impian Championship.

Ben, a one-time Asian Tour winner, reeled in six birdies against one bogey while Sattaya, a winner of the ADT’s PGM Sabah Championship in September, mixed his card with seven birdies against two bogeys at the Impian Golf and Country Club in Kajang on Wednesday.
