Thai newcomer Tirawat stamps mark in MNRB Sarawak Championship


PETALING JAYA: Thai newcomer Tirawat Kaewsiribandit fired a four-under 68 for a one-stroke lead at the midway point of the RM250,000 PGM MNRB Sarawak Championship. 

The 24-year-old rookie carded five birdies against a bogey for a 36-hole total of nine-under 135 to be just ahead of overnight leader Grant Jackson (70) of England and compatriot Pasamet Pogamnerd (68) at the Sarawak Golf Club in Kuching yesterday.
