(Reuters) -Alexander Isak's future at Newcastle United remains up in the air with the transfer window set to close soon but the club are making headway in signing German forward Nick Woltemade, manager Eddie Howe said on Friday.

Wantaway striker Isak has yet to kick a ball for Newcastle this season amid a standoff with the club after a 110 million pounds ($148.60 million) bid from Liverpool was reportedly rejected earlier this month.
