FAM: Fans will still flock to MU and national team’s matches

PETALING JAYA: With the highly-anticipated Asean All-Stars vs Manchester United clash on May 28 and Malaysia vs Cape Verde international friendly less than 24 hours later, concerns have surfaced about fans’ interest and attendance.

However, Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) deputy president Datuk Yusoff Mahadi, has moved quickly to allay those fears.

“We’re not worried,” Yusoff said confidently.

“We believe local fans will want to watch both games. Each match offers something special, and our supporters understand that.”

While Manchester United’s star-studded appearance is set to draw regional attention, Malaysia’s clash with Cape Verde marks another important test in the national team’s journey under a new leadership.
