Selangor continues fantastic run in Super League


PETALING JAYA: Selangor are on a 10-game winning run in all competitions after beating Pahang 2-0 in their Super League encounter at the Petaling Jaya Stadium on Saturday (Feb 8).

The Klang Valley side’s goals were scored by Jordanian international striker Ali Olwan (14th minute) and Chilean striker Ronnie Fernandez (39th).

The side coached by Katsuhito Kinoshi are showing consistency in terms of results as they take a 10-point gap away from third-placed Sabah in the league.

In the league, they are unbeaten in six matches.

The Red Giants remain second with 42 points from 19 matches and will have five more games to complete the league.

Selangor are eyeing the second spot as it guarantees them a spot for next season’s AFC Champions League Two.
