Saravanan hoping to feature in starting 11 in place of Hidalgo

PETALING JAYA: Pahang winger T. Saravanan is eager for action and the suspension of Argentinian star Manuel Hidalgo (pic) could provide him with a perfect opportunity to shine on what could be the biggest stage of his career.

The 23-year-old is in contention for a starting role in the Malaysia Cup semi-final second leg against Sabah at the Temerloh Stadium today. In recent training sessions, he has been deployed in Hidalgo’s position, indicating that he may be Fandi Ahmad’s preferred replacement.
