Sabah held by Pahang 1-1 in M’sia Cup semi-final

PETALING JAYA: The Sabah crowd were left crestfallen after their side was held 1-1 by Pahang in the first leg of the Malaysia Cup semi-finals at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday (Jan 18).

The home side got the lead in the ninth minute when midfielder Stuart Wilkin scored and piled on the pressure for more goals, but the Elephants stood resolute.

Pahang silenced the Sabah crowd by scoring the equaliser in the 66th minute when Liberian striker Kpah Sherman finished off a pass from playmaker Sergio Aguero.

The second-leg will be held at the Temerloh Stadium on Feb 2.
