Jeonbuk hand Selangor’s first defeat in ACL Two

PETALING JAYA: Selangor suffered their first defeat in the AFC Champions League Two after losing to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors narrowly in their Group H encounter at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium on Thursday (Nov 7).

The Red Giants were beaten 0-1, with Brazilian striker Tiago Orobo scoring in the 22nd minute.

Selangor are now second in the group with seven points, while Jeonbuk is at the top with nine. The top two teams in the group will qualify for the knockout stages.

Selangor will next take on Thai club Muangthong United at the Petaling Jaya Stadium on Nov 28.
