It’s a good time to be English, says Lionesses manager

MANCHESTER: Lionesses manager Sarina Wiegman’s (pic) allegiances may have been torn during England’s 2-1 win over her native Holland in the men’s Euro 2024 semi-final, but she says it is a great time for English football.

“Congratulations on the win. To be really honest, of course I wish the very best for Gareth (Southgate, England men’s manager) and the team. But it did hurt. My Orange heart hurt,” Wiegman told a press conference on Thursday.
