(Reuters) - A venue has been confirmed for Japan women's upcoming Paris Olympic qualifier with North Korea, the Japanese Football Association (JFA) announced on Wednesday.

Saturday's game will be played at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, after Japan flew to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday without any confirmation of the venue for the first leg match. The kick-off time has yet to be announced.

The game had originally been scheduled for Pyongyang's Kim Il Sung Stadium before the JFA requested a neutral venue due to difficulties in travelling to North Korea which has no formal diplomatic relations with Japan.

Japan were informed on Tuesday by the Asian Football Confederation to travel to Saudi Arabia, without any confirmation of a venue for the game.

The return leg will take place in Tokyo on Feb. 28, while Uzbekistan will play Australia over two legs to decide Asia's other representative at the Olympic tournament later this year.
