Turtles asking for solution to scoring woes – and Mintah could be it

KUALA NERUS: Terengganu coach Tomislav Steinbruckner wants to reshuffle the frontline by bringing in imported Ghanaian Jordan Mintah (pic) after his strikers fired blanks in their first three matches,

The Croatian said he would have to change the strike force in their match against Police at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium today if they want to win.

The Turtles had failed to score a single goal against Johor Darul Ta’zim, Kedah and Kuala Lumpur.

“We didn’t score in the past three matches. My job is to find the solution, and Mintah is one of the solutions because Ivan (Mamut) and Adisak (Kraisorn) played better but still did not score,” he said, after a training session at the Gong Badak Sports Complex yesterday.

Steinbruckner, fondly called Tommy, is also toying with the idea of fielding imported midfielder Habib Haroon, who has recovered from injury.

He said the presence of Habib would shore up the midfield and boost Terengganu’s confidence in registering their first win tomorrow.

“Faiz has also been looking better and better. I will probably give him some minutes to play tomorrow (today),” he said.

He reminded his charges to keep their emotions in check to avoid any untoward incidents on the field. — Bernama
