PETALING JAYA: Young goalkeeper Shafiq Afifi Suhaimi became Penang’s hero when he pulled off two superb saves in their 4-3 penalty shootout win over Kedah in the FA Cup first round on Wednesday.

The 23-year-old Shafiq, who only became the Panthers’ first-choice netminder this season, denied midfielder Lee Tuck and centreback Bojan Ciger from the spot after the match ended 2-2 at full time.
