FAM: We can still host Asian Cup qualifiers despite Omicron threat

KUALA LUMPUR: The Covid-19 cases are rising no thanks to the Omicron variant but the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) believe that they can still host the third-round qualifiers of the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup scheduled this June.

The FAM had submitted their bid to host the qualifiers in Kuala Lumpur to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the result of the bid will be announced after the qualifiers draw on Feb 24.
