PETALING JAYA: Terengganu were held to a 1-1 draw by defending champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in their Malaysia Cup first-leg semi-final encounter at the Sultan Mizan Stadium in Gong Badak on Monday (Nov 22).

The Turtles drew first blood through Ghanaian striker Jordan Mintah, who scored in the eighth minute.

JDT fought back and their persistence paid off in the second half when Brazilian striker Bergson Da Silva found the net in the 50th minute.

It was also a draw in the other first-leg semi-final game as Melaka held home side Kuala Lumpur 1-1 at the Cheras Football Stadium.
