PETALING JAYA: Myanmar winger Aung Kaung Mann was the hero for Pahang when he scored the solitary goal to help his club beat Petaling Jaya City 1-0 in the Super League at the Darul Makmur Stadium on Sunday (Aug 1).

The 23-year-old received a brilliant pass from leftback Fazly Mazlan from midfield and slotted the ball past PJ City's goalkeeper Kalamullah Al-Hafiz in the 15th minute.

Pahang could have added a few more goals through lanky striker Kenny Athiu and Kaung Mann in the first-half, but Kalamullah proved to be a wall for the Elephants with his saves.

Pahang are ninth in the league with 17 points while PJ City dropped to eighth from seventh with 18 points.
