Terengganu beat Kedah 2-1 in Super League match

PETALING JAYA: After four games without a win, Terengganu are back to winning ways after beating Kedah 2-1 in their Super League match at the Darulaman Stadium in Alor Setar on Friday (April 9).

Kedah first took the lead when Terengganu’s centreback Muhammad Mohd Faudzi inadvertently deflected Rabih Ataya’s cross into his own goal in the 39th minute, but Terengganu bounced back in the 45th minute when David Da Silva scored a penalty.

Terengganu’s rightback Azam Azmi Murad scored the winner in the 59th minute to give his side the three points.

It was a night to forget for Kedah when they saw two players - Fadzrul Danel Nizam and Rodney Celvin Akwensivie - sent off in the final minutes of the game for aggression.

Kedah remain second in the league with 17 points, while Terengganu stay third with 15 points.
