Bergson on song as JDT down Melaka 3-0

PETALING JAYA: It is his debut season in the Malaysian Super League, but Bergson Santos is proving to be real livewire for defending champions Johor Darul Ta'zim.

The Brazilian striker scored two goals (eighth and 82nd minute) to help the Southern Tigers beat Melaka 3-0 at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri on Friday (April 2).

JDT's other goal was scored by Adam Nor Azlin in the fourth minute. Bergson has now scored four goals for the club in three Super League matches.

The victory was certainly sweet as JDT played in front of their fans for the first time after a year. The Sultan Ibrahim Stadium is part of the pioneer project to allow spectators into stadiums.
