Malaysia Cup deferment a blessing in disguise for injury-hit Kedah

KUALA LUMPUR: Kedah can thank their lucky stars that the start of the Malaysia Cup campaign has been postponed from Oct 25 to Nov 6, due to the rising number of Covid-19 cases, as this will give their injured players the chance to fully recover.

Kedah head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak is hopeful that his injured stars, including goalkeepers Ifwat Akmal Che Kassim (shoulder) and Shahril Saa’ri (calf) as well as midfielder Mohd Hadin Azman (hamstring), would be fit once the Malaysia Cup kicks off next month.
