Liverpool great Fowler takes charge of Indian Super League side East Bengal

(Reuters) - Former England and Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler has been appointed head coach of SC East Bengal on a two-year contract, the Indian Super League (ISL) club said on Friday.

The 45-year-old last managed A-League side Brisbane Roar and guided them to fourth place before the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Australian club announced his exit in late June.
