Burton boss Clough to leave as club cuts costs due to COVID-19

(Reuters) - Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough and two members of his backroom staff will step down as part of cost-cutting measures brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the League One (third-tier) club said in a statement https://www.burtonalbionfc.co.uk/news/2020/may/1805-statement on Monday.

Clough, 54, will be replaced by skipper Jake Buxton, who will serve as player-manager, the club added.
