ROME (Reuters) - Italy's Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora said on Wednesday the country's top-flight Serie A soccer championship looks unlikely to resume this season because of the COVID-19 epidemic.
On March 9 Italy suspended the league campaign as part of a nationwide lockdown to curb a new coronavirus epidemic that has seen over 200,000 confirmed cases and more than 27,000 deaths, the second highest tally in the world after the United States.
