Spain's top-flight women players secure collective wage deal

MADRID (Reuters) - Spain's top-flight women footballers have signed their first collective agreement on pay and conditions, breaking an impasse with sporting authorities which led to a strike last November.

The agreement, which was signed on Tuesday but only made public on Wednesday, guarantees Primera Division players a minimum salary of 16,000 euros (13,278 pounds) per year as well as paid holiday and maternity leave among other benefits.
