Atalanta coach hits out at Fiorentina fans as tensions rise

MILAN (Reuters) - Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has said that Fiorentina fans who insulted him during a match on Wednesday were "sons of bitches", fuelling the bad feeling between the two Serie A clubs which has been simmering for over a year.

"I was called son of a b**** numerous times," said Gasperini in an extraordinary outburst after his side's 2-1 Coppa Italia defeat by Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi stadium.
