PETALING JAYA: Brendan Gan believes Malaysia’s 2-1 win over Thailand was well worth his sacrifice.

The Perak midfielder, who only got to spend two days with his first-born son, Koa Brooklyn, put on a man-of-the-match performance when he scored the equaliser in the 26th minute to cancel out Chanathip Songkrasin’s sixth minute strike in the 2022 World Cup-2023 Asian Cup qualifying match on Thursday.
