PETALING JAYA: While everyone was waiting to see how the national football team would perform against Tajikistan before their 2022 World Cup-2023 Asian Cup qualifiers against Thailand and Indonesia, coach Tan Cheng Hoe pulled off a secret surprise.

He had his team play against world No. 154 Maldives in a training match at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi.
