PKNP’s gamble on youngsters pays off against PJ City


Bang on target: Khairul Asyraf Sahizah scored the second goal in PKNP’s 3-0 win over Petaling Jaya City in the Malaysia Cup quarter-final first-leg match on Sunday.

PETALING JAYA: PKNP coach Abu Bakar Fadzim took the gamble by fielding youngsters and it paid off big time.

They have qualified for the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals after beating Petaling Jaya (PJ) City 3-0 yesterday in their Group B match with goals from Yashir Pinto (10th and 62nd) and Khairul Asyraf Sahizah (46th) at the Manjung Municipal Council Stadium on Sunday.
