PETALING JAYA: There seems to be no stopping Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the Super League.

The Southern Tigers sealed their sixth title with four games to spare after beating Melaka 2-1 at the Hang Jebat Stadium on Wednesday (June 26).

Two first-half goals from diminutive midfielder Nazmi Faiz Mansor and Brazilian forward Diego in the 7th and 27th minute respectively, proved decisive for Benjamin Mora’s boys, as they continue to assert themselves as the best team in the Super League’s history.

Veteran centreback Shukor Adan scored Melaka's consolation goal. With four matches left in the league, the gap between JDT and Pahang is 16 points.

In other matches, Kedah was made to fight for their 3-2 win against Petaling Jaya City at the Darulaman Stadium. Their goals were scored by Baddrol Bakhtiar (15th), Farhan Roslan (49th) and Fernando Rodriguez (76th), while the opponent goals were scored by Washington Brandao (60th) and G. Ganeish (66th minute).

Terengganu was imperious against Kuala Lumpur, as the east coast side won 3-1 at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu.
