Doha (Reuters) - Qatar's 2022 World Cup will not be expanded to 48 teams, global soccer's governing body FIFA said on Wednesday.
FIFA said a proposal that had been discussed to expand the tournament to 48 teams from 32 will not be proposed at an upcoming congress in June, where it was originally slated to be discussed.
