Selangor end five-game winless run with derby victory


KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor's veteran striker Mohd Amri Yahya ensured his side got the bragging rights in the Klang Valley derby after helping Selangor edge Kuala Lumpur 3-2 in their Super League clash Sunday (March 10).

The Red Giants, who were trailing 0-2 in the first half, turned up the heat in the second half with goals from Sandro Mendonca's spotkick (36th minute), Mohd Syazwan Zainon's acute angle strike (71st) and Amri's looping header (76th) for the win at the Cheras Football Stadium.
