Qatari Asian Cup organiser arrives in UAE after flight hiatus

DOHA (Reuters) - A Qatari official who helped organise football's Asian Cup arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Friday, after sources said he was earlier stopped from flying there to attend the tournament.

Saoud Al-Mohannadi chaired the organising committee for the competition, which starts on Saturday, and is vice president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
