PETALING JAYA: Syahmi Safari's thunderbolt has given Malaysia an away goal advantage as they are currently holding Thailand 1-1 in the first half of the AFF Suzuki Cup second leg semi-final match in Bangkok.

The Selangor right-back, who received the ball from Syamer Kutty Abba from the middle, drove forward and took a thunderous shot which went past the hapless Chathchai Budprom in the 27th minute.
