(Reuters) - England's decision to pick a relatively inexperienced squad for their Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain is not an experiment but a display of faith in the ability of young players, manager Gareth Southgate has said.

Southgate handed Leicester City midfielder James Maddison, Borussia Dortmund striker Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount, who is on loan at Championship (second tier) club Derby County from Chelsea, their first call-ups to the senior squad.
