Liverpool captain Henderson signs new long-term contract

(Reuters) - Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has signed a new long-term contract at Anfield, the Premier League club said on Monday.

The 28-year-old England midfielder joined the Merseyside club from Sunderland in 2011 and has made 283 appearances for them, scoring 24 goals.
