MADRID (Reuters) - When Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in July it was the end of an era at the Santiago Bernabeu as the European champions said goodbye to their all-time top goalscorer and best player.

But although Julen Lopetegui's side failed to sign a replacement, they have started the season flying with three wins from three games.
