BERLIN (Reuters) - Struggling VfL Wolfsburg named Bruno Labbadia as their third coach of the season on Tuesday in the hope that the 52-year-old can pull off an escape act similar to the one he performed with Hamburg SV three years ago.
Labbadia, appointed three days before the Wolves face Mainz 05 in a crunch match in the battle to avoid relegation, replaced Martin Schmidt who resigned on Monday five months after stepping in for Andries Jonker.
