(Reuters) - West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has backed calls for the summer transfer window to close before the start of the Premier League season but said such a move would be pointless if not implemented across Europe.

British media have reported that Premier League clubs will soon meet to discuss the idea of shutting the window earlier in a bid to avoid players being unsettled by interest from rivals.
